Final words on my final products!!!

The website: www.madalinaloghin.com

It was hard to get started as I have never created or had a website before. I didn't know from where to start but I finally dared to do something... It took me about a week to create it. I had made some sketches at the beginning but of course the website doesn't look the same. I have tried my best to make it look similar and I have made it in a way. As I said before Weebly doesn't give you many options, it's not that flexible. But I have managed to do something using their tools.
The theme that I have chosen is simple but elegant as I have noticed that I am obsessed with this word. After researching on fashion photographers, they all have simple themes and menus to make the viewer's job easier when looking at the website. You don't want to spent ages to find the portfolio in the menu or until the photos load.
I wanted to have like an intro page so that's why I made my Home page the front one.I want it to be like an introduction to the website. I used 3 photos from my fashion collection let's say because I am into fashion photography and that's where I am aiming to get even if I have got other stuff as well in my gallery. Also, I have chosen Polaroids as I have realized that my new passion is Polaroids and I believe they look really nice.
I also wanted to have like an intro message so I thought about something interesting that fits with photography so LIGHTS.CAMERA.ACTION. was the best I could find, I think because it's the three things that matter the most in photography: you need lights, the camera and then you get into it.
Then, I have chosen my 5 big categories that would be my MENU: Portfolio/Personal/About/Contact. I have started with the first one as it is the most important one. I made again like an intro page for Portfolio and then I wanted to have sub menus. So when you click on Portfolio there is 4 sub menus below: Fashion/Photo Shoots/ Projects/Portraits. For the first one, FASHION, I used my new wonderful photos that I have taken for my ACPP project. Because I have got 10 sets I wanted to be separately on the page..So when you click on the first image you can only see the images from that set. If you wanna see the rest of them you have to click on one of the images from the set that you want to look at.I am very proud of those images. I believe they are my best ones.

Then, Photo shoots..I have chosen just some photos..I am not gonna upload all of them because it would  look crowded and I don't want that. I only put an example of each photo shoot for people to see what I can do.In terms of layout, I have chosen them to be cropped because they look so good like that. That sort of cropping resembles with one way you could present your fashion photos and that's why I have chosen that.

Projects..Again, the same cropping. At the beginning I din't have any text because I literally can't stand talking and writing about my projects. I don't know why but when I have to do that I feel like it's the end of the world for me. I managed in the end to write a brief description, I am fine with it and I am happy I have done it. For Portraits it's the same thing. I will add more photos there because I think I need more.

After that, I moved on to the other category, PERSONAL. This one here, is more like what I like doing in my spare time or other areas of photography that I enjoy in my spare time and that I could happily do it if asked. I wanted an intro page for Personal so I decided to put one of my images plus a short sentence to make the viewer be interested and get involved. Then, there are 3 sub categories: Grandma/DreamDay and Close-ups.

For Grandma, I decided to add a slideshow. I am happy with it except for the fact that it's quite big so you can't see the whole image without scrolling down. But I can't make it smaller and I really want that slideshow. I like how it looks with those photos. Like I said it's a pain for me to write a description so I only added the country where the photos were taken and the year. I am happy so far.

Then, DreamDay.. I must say that I love how my pictures look on the website.. they look so cool and nice and elegant. I used to work in a florist shop last summer when I was back home so I had the chance to take photos of flowers and weddings(in a way). Those are some of my best and I must say that the square cropping looks so good.
The last bit, the Close ups..again very happy with how it looks. they suit my theme perfectly. I love them.

Moving on, I had to make my About section. Guess what? I had to write again but not about my projects and my ideas...Guess what again? it was about ME and only ME this time. It couldn't be worse that that..haha.. BUT as much as I hate doing that.. everything came up so easily and I am  more than surprised. I had inspiration and I think that I wrote a good description about me and my work. I wanted to use a picture of mine that I have taken instead of using other people's pictures. I was so excited when I added the details about exhibitions and other things. Very happy with that section.

AND the last bit....Contact category... It was the easiest one..I had the form there. I only needed to write the sentence to let people know how I would like to be contacted. I chose to put my personal e-mail there for bookings only because there might be days when I don't check my website e mail and I don't want to lose clients and my personal one I check like everyday so I think that's the best way to do it!. I also added to social media icons:Facebook and Pinterest.

So..that's it then!!! As an overall impression/comment.. I am happy with what I have created. I could have been more creative but I had some restrictions let's say with Weebly but it's fine because my website is simple and straight forward and as a first try I think it's good and nice. and clear and simple!!!

I am just waiting now for comments on it and any positive and negative feedback as well!!! Quite nervous actually about that!!!!
